About: Earthquake Log
Earthquake Log collects the public earthquake lists of the Japan Meteorological Agency and the U.S. Geological Survey once a day and shows them in 14 languages, with an archive of earthquakes reported in Japan.
It does not issue forecasts, warnings or advice. Earthquake and tsunami warnings in Japan are issued only by the Japan Meteorological Agency.
This page is updated only once a day and is not an alert service. For current earthquake and tsunami information, check the Japan Meteorological Agency, the USGS and your local authorities.
How this site works
Once a day an automated job downloads the latest public data from the sources listed below, checks it and rebuilds these static pages. Nothing is invented or estimated by us: every number comes from a cited source.
